Lynne Stone – Embroidered Wattle

Lynne Stone, who did indeed present a beautiful sculpture of Acacia pycnantha to the ANBG on Wattle Day, 1st September. I attach a photo of Peter Garrett unveiling it. Your readers may remember her beautiful exhibition a few years ago at the ANBG entitled "Blooming Threads".

Lynne Stone, presented a beautiful sculpture of Acacia pycnantha to the ANBG on Wattle Day, 1st September. Lynne is famous for living, travelling and creating exquisite 3d embroidered native flora in her touring Toyota bus-home. She had a solo exhibition at the ANBG entitled "Blooming Threads" and then settle at a new home in Victoria. Last year, during the bushfires, she escaped with her life and very little else, her life's work gone. Only details and patterns saved on her laptop remain for her to begin again.
